What is Otterfocus?

My name is Armand Arnau, owner of Otterfocus, a faith-based photography business. Otterfocus started as a play on words — a pun on “autofocus.” It also gave me a cute mascot to represent the business. Kind of like the beaver is to Buc-ee's.

But the name means a little more than that.

I could have called the business Armand Arnau Photography, but I didn’t want my name to be the focus. I want the work to point beyond me — to the beauty of creation and the One who created it.

I believe the ability to capture these moments artfully is a gift given by the LORD. So while photography is something I love and something I get to create, I don't want Otterfocus to be about me.

The glory belongs to God.

Brand Philosophy

I believe photography should reflect the beauty that is already there.

My approach to editing is simple and intentional. I aim for my photographs to look and feel as close as possible to how the moment appeared in real life—without excessive editing, artificial colors, or unnecessary manipulation.

Nature doesn’t need to be exaggerated to be beautiful. The light, colors, textures, and details are already part of God’s creation. My goal is simply to preserve what I saw and share it as God intended.
